In our opinion, the most important and strategic factor in development is the research applied to new materials. For this reason we established a new department with a team of engineers with one target: to study new materials based on new products in advanced technological sectors where the “quality” factor is the crucial component.
Some examples
Applicazioni Incoloy 825
It’s a completely austenitic nickel-iron-chrome alloy, titan stabilised, with some molybdenum and copper. It has an excellent resistance to stress corrosion, good resistance to pitting, to oxidative acids like sulphuric, phosphoric, nitric and to organic alkaline solutions and to sea water. Sulphuric and phosphoric acids plants, pickling plants and nuclear waste re-treatment.
Heat exchangers and crude oil pipework in offshore platforms for oil and acid gas, caustic soda thickeners and mineral treatment equipment.
Applicazioni Inconel 625
Nickel-chrome-molybdenum alloy with low carbon content and niobium added. Good pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. High resistance to a wide range of organic and mineral acids. Resistance to corrosion at high temperature in sulphuric/hydrochloric atmospheres. Excellent mechanical characteristics up to 450°C.
It is used in waste incinerator plants, treatment of nuclear fuel, in drilling equipment for natural acid gas extraction, tubes in offshore platforms systems.
