Within the archive documents owned by the Rossi family there is evidence of a very strong link with the activity of battiferro (wrought iron) since the XIX Century. To this day this can clearly be seen in the existing workshop that dates back to the end of the XIX Century.
These records state that Mr. Coriano Rossi, together with two other partners bearing the same surname, Angelo and Giuseppe Rossi jointly owned a drop hammer and had the right to the use of water.
Following a slow and constant evolution, in 1950, Nello, Pietro and Olindo succeeded their father who was for many years before, the only owner of the hammer, and ran the activity until 1966.
Afterwards, Forgerossi owned by Pietro and Olindo changed status from a small crafts workshop in to a burgeoning industrial concern.
The newborn Forgerossi found its new site is in a new industrial area with three buildings, about twenty employees, most of them forgers, who now have access to modern equipment and innovative production processes.
In the early 70’s, Giorgio Rossi succeeded his father in the 70’s and started the launch of new products in overseas markets, thus uplifting Forgerossi to the status of an important international company in its field.
Since 2008 Giorgio Rossi passed down the title to his sons Alberto and Marco who are currently running the business, thus continuing, in the innovation, but respecting the tradition, the historical activity of the Rossi family.
